This thing should be a huge time saver. Fewer trips to the hardware store and no more bringing parts to the hardware store to get the right size. Test both nuts and bolts. Some of these are very close so take your time finding the best fit. For a bolt find the smallest size that fits. For a nut find the largest size that fits.

This is a super handy tool set to have around your shop. It's a must have if you need to determine the size of a nut or bolt before purchasing replacements. Many times you will not be able to carry a bolt into a hardware store. For example if it is attached to large or heavy equipment. So you simply find a nut from this set that fits, and you will be able to easily identify the size. It is a simple yet very useful set to have.

If you do any kind of mechanical work, I can't think of a good reason not to own one of these kits. Having the capability to positively identify thread size and pitch is absolutely essential for ordering parts.
